What time is Check-in and Check-out?
Check-in time is 4:00PM
Check-out time is 11:00AM

Can I request an early Check-in or late Check-out?
Early check-ins and late check-outs may be granted based on availability. Please reach out to the front desk within 24 hours of arrival and before 10am on day of check-out to confirm availability. A fee may apply for such requests.

What is your Reservation Payment Policy?
To secure a reservation, Hotel Mai will charge the credit card on file for the entire cost of the reservation at the time of booking. An additional $200 hold will be placed on your payment method during your stay. Cash/Pre-Paid Debit Cards will not be accepted for the $200 incidental hold. This hold will be released after check out as long as no damage to the room occurs. 

What is your Cancellation Policy?
For bookings made directly with Hotel Mai or via HotelMai.com — To avoid any fees, a reservation should be canceled up to 72 hours prior to the arrival date. After that time, we won’t be able to cancel it. 
For bookings made via third-party booking services such as Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, etc — please check your reservation confirmation for the cancellation policy associated with your reservation, you must contact where you made your reservation and cancel through their service.

Is Wi-Fi free?
Yes, we offer complimentary high-speed wi-fi in all our guest rooms and common areas.

Is Parking available?
Yes, we have parking available in our garage and also in the overflow lot directly adjacent to the building. Parking is $15/day (please note that parking rate may be subject to increase due to events taking place in Long Beach). Our garage can accommodate vehicles with a maximum 6’8″ height clearance. EV Charging is available in our garage on-site. Trucks and larger vehicles can park in the overflow open lot adjacent to our building.

Is longer term Parking available if I’m departing on a cruise for a few days?
Based on availability we may be able to offer to park your car with us if you’ll be staying with us before or after your cruise for a few days. Please e-mail hello@hotelmai.com to confirm availability for your dates.

Does the hotel offer breakfast or other restaurant options?
No, we are a limited service boutique and do not offer breakfast or have restaurant options on site. We do have well stocked drinks and snack vending machines on-site. If in-room dining is desired, we recommend using the UberEats or Doordash apps to order some local favorites delivered directly to your room.

Do all rooms have TVs? What are the channels and services offered?
Every room is equipped with a brand new 65″ TV. We offer premium cable channels through Spectrum including HBO. We also have easy streaming capabilities via your own device to safely and securely login to your streaming accounts while traveling.

Is daily housekeeping service included?
Housekeeping service is available upon request at no charge. We can offer fresh towels and linens daily.  

Does the hotel have a fitness center?
Yes, located on the second floor, it is open from 7am to 10pm everyday. The gym has a variety of equipment including treadmills, peloton bikes, and free weights. 

What additional amenities or on-site facilities does the hotel offer?
We have an indoor heated Swimming Pool, Spa tub, Sauna, and Steam Room located on the 2nd Floor.

Does the hotel charge a destination/amenity/facility fee?
Our amenities are open and available to all registered hotel guests at no additional charge.

Which airports are the closest to the hotel? 
Long Beach Airport – 10-15 min drive
LAX – 30-60 min drive (LAX Flyaway bus pick up hourly directly in front of the hotel – $9/each way)
John Wayne Airport – 30-45 min drive

Can I store luggage before or after my stay?
Yes, we’d be more than happy to store your luggage before check-in or after your stay as you explore the city. We may be able to accommodate some shipments of packages before or after your stay depending on the size and time of storage, please contact hello@hotelmai.com with details.
